İstatistiki bilgilerden şu sonuçları çıkarmak mümkün:

• Twice the number of women go to ESOL courses compared to men

• Many ESOL learners are between 20-30 years-old, and there are many 30-50 year-olds as well

• The difference between the number of men and women is greater in the higher level courses and less in the lower level ones

• Over half of the candidates have been attending 6 months to 2 years

• As expected, the longer someone has been going to ESOL courses the more likely they are to be in higher level classes

• Turkish-speakers are not in the top 10 of all ESOL learners. They are in the top 10 in the lower level classes but not in the higer level ones. They are therefore disproportionately represented in lower level courses
